A close examination of the engine before I disassemble the engine will help in knowing were all the parts go during the reassembling stage. |
It's time to have some fun, and remove every nut and bolt from this engine. |
Well a few hours later, the parts start hitting the floor, and the engine starts telling us the true story of it's life. |
Looking over the sides of the engine to try and find any oil leaks before we pull we pull the head off. |
All we have to do is remove the timing belt and all it's pulleys so the head can be unbolted. |
Off comes the head, and a close examination of the head gasket would tell us why and were the engine had no compression. |
The block would have to go to the machine shop to be heat tanked, decked, honed and painted. |
A few of the rear piston heads looked like we had burnt coolant in the cylinder. |
The dual stock valves looked a little toasty, but I did not find any valves that needed to be replaced. All we needed was a head job! |
The engine and head in general did not have any hidden damages or major cracks in it. |
