A simple identification tag on the 280Z tells it all. |

The 280Z waiting for his turn to be worked on. |

June 9, 2001, our second weekend to work on Project 280Z. Kapu and I pulled the 280Z into the covered stall to work on it. |
The first thing we did is remove the after market fiberglass bumper. It was attached with 6 screws and was retaining water behind it. |
After the bumper hit the floor I took some time looking over the condition of rear end! I could not determine if I wanted to remove the tow hooks or not. For now they stay. |
The new stock look minus the bumper looks great. Our race engine is waiting under the blue cover, and a spare set of tires sit to the right. |
The engine compartment is empty and waiting for a nice warm engine to move in and make a home. |
The interior was completely removed today. I started with the dashboard and by the end of the day, I had removed ever piece of plastic, wire, and leather in the car. |
The stock steering wheel and pedals are still mounted and will remain for use. |
